CESI, the European Confederation of Independent Trade Union, is looking for an intern in European affairs in Brussels from March 2013 on.

Main tasks

The intern will be fully included in a small, young and dynamic team. He/She will be assisting the policy officers in the following areas:

  • Monitoring of EU-activities in the economic and social fields, including participation in EP committee meetings or other events in Brussels
  • Drafting of background documents and policy briefings
  • Participation to the organization and follow-up of events by the Secretariat general, including internal and external communication
  • Eventually organization or assistance in the organization of events

Requirements/skills

  • A university degree, preferably in European or International affairs, economics or law
  • Knowledge of the EU decision-making process
  • Good analytical skills
  • Flexibility and initiative, ability to work in a small, multinational and friendly team
  • Fluency in at least two of the following languages: English, French, German. Any other language is a clear asset.
