Students are allowed to participate in the course provided that they have completed the enrolment procedure.

Objectives and competences

The course introduces students to contemporary practice of internal communication (IC), trains them for initial assignements and equips them with basic mental tools for critical evaluation. Competences: 1. preparation of basic IC plans 2. use of basic IC tools 3. analysis and synthesis of data for IC 4. professional, responsible and critical evaluation of IC 5. basics of professional consulting in IC

Content (Syllabus outline)

The course introduces students to the contemporary practice of internal communication. It starts with basic terms of organizational climate, communication climate, organizational culture, job, organization, and communication satisfaction. Then it moves from information to employee engagement, creation of internal communication plans, theri execution, and evaluation.

Intended learning outcomes:

understanding of basic definitions in internal communication (IC) discrimination between different organizational cultures application of basic IC techniques ability to execute a basic IC analysis creation of basic IC plans evaluation of IC programs

Lectures, consultations, simulations, and seminars.

Assessment
