Infographics by Students of Postgraduate Programme of Social Informatics

In November 2017, the Chair of Social Informatics and Methodology hosted Assist. Prof. Cláudia Vasconcelos Silvestre (School of Communication and Media Studies, Lisbon Polytecnic Institute), who gave lectures on how to communicate data effectively. The lectures were held within the course New Technologies in Social Science Research at the Postgraduate Programme of Social Informatics. Dr. Silvestre visited our Faculty within the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility programme.

The lectures discussed the difference between graphs and infographics and the main steps to make an infographic. Students were given an assignment to prepare an infographic poster as an effective and creative way of presenting data on relevant social, cultural and scientific topics. Students worked in groups and prepared seven exciting posters (available as PDF download).
