The Frankfurt School through Video Games: Guest lecture by Felix Schniz

On Monday, May 12, 2025, Dr Felix Schniz from the University of Klagenfurt, lecturer and head of the Master's programme in Video Games and Engineering, held a guest lecture in the Modern Philosophy course. It is no wonder then that he brilliantly explained the Frankfurt School to the students and visiting audience through the legendary "soul game" Bloodborne (Fromsoftware 2015), where blood is capital, society is blinded by enlightenment, and the dominant ideology is the ideology of our time. Video games and philosophy? Why not!
