Exchange at Kyungpook National University (KNU) in Daegu, South Korea
At the end of March 2025, Jasmina Šepetavc, a researcher at the Centre for Cultural and Religious Studies, participated in a short-term Erasmus+ exchange at Kyungpook National University (KNU) in Daegu, South Korea. During her visit, she gave a lecture on Slovenian popular music, with a particular focus on folk-pop music and the Centre's recently completed project Slovenian Folk-Pop as Politics: Perceptions, Receptions, and Identities. Jasmina presented the characteristics of this musical genre to students and faculty members and discussed how music can reflect and shape national and regional identities.
