World Statistics Day 2025

Today, October 20th, marks this year's World Statistics Day.

In this context, Springer published the second edition of International Encyclopedia of Statistical Science this year, while the first edition form 2011 is now available in open access. In both editions, dr. Katja Lozar Manfreda and dr. Vasja Vehovar authored a chapter on Nonresponse in web surveys.

According to the book's editor, dr. Lavric, the publication has already received several nominations for the Nobel Peace Award (2026) due to its comprehensiveness and especially its model example of international collaboration by more than 700 authors from 110 countries.
