Visit of dr. Martinez Monje at CSI

Pedro Manuel Martinez Monje, PhD and senior lecturer at the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) in Spain, completed a stay at the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) between November and December 2022 with funding from the UPV/EHU itself. During his stay at CSI, he worked on a research project related to the problems of the digital divide, digital vulnerability and digital inclusion of the elderly in the context of the withdrawal of welfare states. The result of this work has served to deepen the working hypotheses on which he was already working and for the reworking of a project he was already developing.

Contrasting some of these issues with the CSI team would allow collaboration in the development of a comparative study on the situation of the digital divide affecting the elderly and, by extension, the digitally vulnerable.
