Third Bilateral Meeting with Israeli Partners on the Topic of Digital Transformation of Quantitative Data Collection


The third bilateral meeting took place on March 18 and 19, 2020, and was attended by members of Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) and The Samuel Neaman Institute for National Policy Research (SNI), Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. The meeting was organized as an online videoconference, because of the travel restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the research activities of the project "Digital transformation of quantitative data collection in social science research: Integrating survey data collection with big data and paradata for identifying social behaviour".

The meeting agenda addressed several key topics. Both teams presented preliminary results and ongoing analyses on the topic of survey data analysis, paradata analysis, digital trace data analysis, and triangulation of different types of data for online behavior analysis. In addition, the teams discussed the aims and timing of future research and publication strategy. In the context of future cooperation, an additional bilateral meeting is planned to take place in 2020.
