The first national stakeholders' meeting of the Interreg Europe ITHACA project was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences on June 22.
ITHACA involves 9 EU regions with a shared ambition to accelerate the scaling up of smart health and care innovation that can support active and healthy living and secure the triple win of economic growth, more sustainable health and care systems and improved wellbeing of Europe’s citizens.
Speakers at the event that was moderated by Gregor Cuzak (SDMI) were prof. dr. Valentina Hlebec (FSS), dr. Vesna Dolničar (head of the project at University of Ljubljana, FSS), Tatjana Buzeti (Ministry of Health), Davor Dominkuš (Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities) and dr. Sandra Evans (Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany).
Stakeholders from different organizations related to smart health and care got acquainted with ITHACA project, with priority axis 2.9 of Slovenian Operational Programme 2014-2020 with an emphasis on ICT-related pilot projects, with planned calls for projects in the field of long-term care and care deinstitutionalization, and with proposals of Law on the long-term care and Strategy for a long-lived society. Guest from Germany presented example of a good practice when establishing ecosystem on e-care and e-health in German state Baden-Württemberg.
