Presentation of research findings at the 7th Congress of Preventive Medicine
Researchers from the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, presented two papers at the 7th Congress of Preventive Medicine: Public Health - Achievements, New Insights and Challenges for the Future, which took place from 12 to 14 May in Maribor, Slovenia. The congress was organised by the Preventive Medicine Section of the Slovenian Medical Association. The event focused on the opportunities and challenges of COVID-19, the challenges of the health system in a changing world and health in the light of environmental issues.
CDI researchers contributed two papers to the event, one on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on informal carers of older people, and the other on patients' experiences using telemedicine at the level of a family medicine reference clinic:

Proceedings of the abstracts are expected to be published in May.
The presentations are part of several projects: Understanding and analysis of users' needs for the development of e-serices for integrated social and health care in the aging society (L5-9337), Smart ICT Solutions for Active and Healthy Ageing: Integrating Informal e-Care Services in Slovenia (L5-7626), Factors impacting intention to use smart technology enabled care serices among family carers of older people in the context of long-distance care (J5-1785), and the research program Internet research (P5-0399), co-financed by the Slovenian Research Agency from the state budget.
