Moderation of the roundtable on the adopted Strategy for a Digital Single Market
On 6 May, the European Commission adopted its Strategy for a Digital Single Market. The Strategy builds on three pillars: better access for consumers and businesses to digital goods and services across Europe, creating the right conditions and a level playing field for digital networks and innovative services to flourish, and maximising the growth potential of the digital economy. On 21 May, the European Commission and the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport prepared a consultation along with the public presentation of the strategy. In three round table discussions, stakeholders from different fields presented their views of the strategy. The moderator of the first round table was Aleš Špetič, manager and start-up founder, the second round table was moderated by Simon Delakorda from the Institute for Electronic Participation. The third round table, with the theme »Towards a European digital economy and society with long-term growth potential – the importance of digitalisation in medium and small companies« was led by our colleague, Assistant Prof. Vesna Dolničar.
