Katja Lozar Manfreda, PhD participated in the Mixed-mode surveys conference

Katja Lozar Manfred, PhD from the Centre for Social Informatics participated in the Mixed-mode surveys conference with the contribution Comparing mobile phone, PC and paper-and-pencil survey experience: a lab experiment on mode effects. The conference was held in Cologne, Germany from 6 to 7 November 2015 and brought together leading German and some European survey methodologists, who dealing in particular with the problem of planning and carrying out surveys with combined interviewing methods and evaluating the quality of such data.

Katja Lozar Manfred, PhD presented the study which was prepared in collaboration with colleagues from the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece. The study focuses on comparing the user experience and in particular the effect of interviewing mode when encountering a questionnaire on a mobile phone, personal computer and paper.
