Final event of the ISOLEARN project


In September 2016, The University of Ljubljana finalises the Erasmus+ project Innovation in Social Learning for Higher Education Institutions (ISOLEARN) that started in September 2014. Project with partners from Portugal, Italy, Slovenia and Sweden was led by Aberta University (Lisbon, Portugal). Head of the project at the University of Ljubljana was dr. Vesna Dolničar from the Centre of the Social informatics (CSI). The final event of the project was held in Lisbon (Portugal) on September 22nd 2016. At the event, partners presented good practices and recommendations for including hearing and visually-impaired  (HVI) students in higher education and the Handbook (available at: www.isolearn.net) which is one of the main outputs of the project. As a part of the event, the round table on the existing rights and inclusion of the HVI students in all four partner countries was held. One of the speakers at the roundtable was Mojca Šetinc from the CSI. Before closing the event, partners presented the Manifesto to promote inclusion of HVI students in HEIs in the EU involving key challenges and recommendations regarding inclusion of the HVI students to the higher education system. Event concluded with performance of deaf choir and blind choir.
