Dr. Sakari Taipale published a new article in the International Journal of Social Robotics

Dr. Sakari Taipale, a member of the Centre for Social Informatics, has published a new article in the International Journal of Social Robotics. In the article “Positive Turn in Elder-Care Workers" Views Toward Telecare Robots” the survey data from 2020 Finnish elderly care workers is presented. It is the second wave of the same survey conducted in 2016. Both surveys included the same respondents. The researchers compared the survey data from both years, and the comparison shows that the robots were perceived to be more useful, including higher expectations for the robotization of telecare and lower concerns about the compatibility of care robots with personal values.
