D-CARE co-creation workshop

On May 24, a co-creation workshop of the project D-CARE (Interreg Danube) was held. Head of the project at the University of Ljubljana is CSI member Lea Lebar. The workshop, which took place in Postojna, was organised by the project partner RDA Green Karst. It was organized as part of the activities of the “Smart Care Pilots" work package, which aims to create Smart Care Labs in the partner regions. The aim of the workshop was to develop a model for an ICT-based solution selected in the innovation call of the project. The workshop brought together the project’s key regional stakeholders representing decision-makers, educational and research institutions, business and civil society. In addition to RDA Green Karst, the two other Slovenian project partners – the Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica and the University of Ljubljana – also participated in the workshop. The latter was represented by CSI member Mojca Šetinc and external collaborator Janja Drole.

The selected final solution of Art d.o.o. is a service for electronic marking of provided services and monitoring of material consumption in social care institutions, complemented by an electronic voice-to-text service. The aim is to relieve the employees of care institutions and optimize their work. The workshop participants analysed the user segment of the solution, anticipated potential problems in using the solution and sought solutions to these problems. We determined how the process of testing the solution would work and how data would be collected during the testing. The outcome of the workshop is a draft business model for the selected solution, which will be finalised in collaboration between the project partners, stakeholders and the solution provider.
