CSI Members at the 2024 Workshop on Online Panels and Mixed-Mode Surveys

On October 16, 2024, the traditional annual Workshop on Online Panels and Mixed-Mode Surveys (SPIKNA) took place. This time, the workshop was held at the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS). The program included the following presentations from SURS, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), and Centre for Social Informatics (CSI):

• Analysis of noncontacted persons in statistical research (SURS, Marta Arnež)
• Results of the statistical research Modes of collecting data tailored to people (SURS, Mateja Zgonec)
• Are respondents different from nonrespondents? Do they have more chronic illnesses? (NIJZ, Darja Lavtar)
• Comparison of nonprobability and probability panels with traditional surveys (CSI, Gregor Čehovin)
• Relative biases in probability-based survey panels: research synthesis and meta-analysis (CSI, Andrea Ivanovska)
• Optimal respondent reward strategy in the CSI Panel 2024: Integrating costs and errors (CSI, Andreja Praček).

The program also featured a discussion aimed at exchanging experiences and insights on the latest trends in the collection, analysis, and comparison of survey data, both in Slovenia and internationally. Participants in the workshop came from the public, academic, and commercial sectors.
