As part of the COOP4HEALTHCARE project (Interreg SI-AT project), of which the research team of the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, Center for Social Informatics (CDI) is part of an expert research meeting between partners University of Carinthia (CUAS , Austria) and our researchers Vesna Dolničar Ph.D., Simona Hvalič-Touzery, Ph.D., Katja Prevodnik, Ph.D., and Lea Lebar, took place on January 15, 2020.

The main theme of the academic meeting was to compare the research plans and key challenges that participating researchers encounter in their projects. The researchers presented in more detail the progress of the research work on major partner projects, namely the Austrian Smart VitAALity project (CUAS, Austria) and the CDI i-evAALution (AAL project), EVALDO project and ARRS projects 'Understanding and analysis of users' needs for the development of e-services for integrated social and health care in the aging society' (L5-9337) and 'Factors impacting intention to use smart technology enabled care services among family carers of older people in the context of long-distance care' (J5-1785).

The presentations were held in a relaxed atmosphere, many experiences were exchanged, as well as examples of good practices and ways of solving problems that occur more frequently in such projects. The outcome of the consultation is the identification of common research topics and objectives, which will also be discussed in the future to explore opportunities for cooperation (calls for proposals), thereby strengthening interregional institutional capacities and networks in the area of advancement in long-term care, health, active life and aging.
