Conclusion of Web Survey in Slovenia and Israel on Digital Transformation of Quantitative Data Collection

Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) and The Samuel Neaman Institute for National Policy Research (SNI), Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Israel prepared a comprehensive 20-minute web survey on the topic of Internet use, online shopping, and privacy. Data collection was concluded in February 2020 and more than 5000 responses were collected overall. The survey was deployed in the Slovenian, Hebrew and Arabic languages using the Slovenian access panel Valicon and the Israeli iPanel.

The survey was prepared and conducted in the scope of the bilateral project "Digital transformation of quantitative data collection in social science research: Integrating survey data collection with big data and paradata for identifying social behaviour". In this context, CSI and SNI are currently conducting analyses of the data, paradata and digital trace data. This all will produce relevant findings about survey data quality, paradata indicators, triangulation of different types of data, and online user behavior.

CSI and SNI plan to hold a bilateral meeting in the second half of 2020 to discuss the broader relevance and practical implications of the findings, as well as to organize the dissemination of the key results.
