asist. dr. Barbara Brečko and prof. dr. Tanja Oblak Črnič with an article in the Excellence in Science 2022 selection


The members of the Scientific Research Council for Social Sciences have selected the article Krepitev druženja, samo-predstavljanja in igranja: študija digitalnih scenarijev osnovnošolcev v kontekstu epidemije virusa (angl. Enhancing socialising, self-presentation and play: a study of digital scenarios of primary school children in the context of the viral epidemic) by asist. dr. Barbara Brečko (Centre for Social Informatics) and prof. dr. Tanja Oblak Črnič (Social Communication Research Centre) as part of the Excellence in Science 2022 selection.

The achievement was also selected for public presentation at the ARRS Day event. The public presentations of the achievements from the Excellence in Science selection are being organised for the eleventh consecutive year, again this year as part of the joint event ARRS Day 2022: Supporting Excellence, which will take place on Thursday 1 December 2022, at the Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana.

Here is the full selection of Excellence in Science 2022 achievements. Excellence in Science is a project implemented by ARRS to promote science. It is a selection of outstanding achievements that represent a significant scientific or socio-economic advance, a patent or other high-profile result of scientific research work supported by ARRS. Achievements may be proposed by the leaders of research programmes and projects. ARRS shall forward a set of proposed achievements to the individual Scientific Research Councils of the disciplines for selection. The members of the Scientific Research Councils of the individual disciplines shall propose the selection of outstanding achievements to the Scientific Council of ARRS for endorsement.

This year, 52 achievements were selected under the Excellence in Science 2022 project, of which 21 were selected for public presentation at the ARRS Day 2022: Supporting Excellence event.
