Researchers at Centre for Social Informatics published an article in the journal New Media & Society
Jošt Bartol, Dr. Katja Prevodnik, Dr. Vasja Vehovar, and Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, researchers at the Centre for Social Informatics, published an original research article titled “The roles of perceived privacy control, Internet privacy concerns and Internet skills in the direct and indirect Internet uses of older adults: Conceptual integration and empirical testing of a theoretical model” in New Media & Society, a top-tier journal in the field of communication and Internet studies.

Event of the D-CARE project - Challenges in the field of ageing
On September 22 2022, a meeting of stakeholders of D-CARE (Interreg Danube) project was held at Prem Castle in Ilirska Bistrica. The event, subtitled "Challenges in the field of ageing", brought together three events, namely the presentation of an innovative learning environment, a regional workshop for the preparation of an action plan and an interregional learning seminar.

FSS will host the 18th International Conference on Applied Statistics
From September 19 to 21, 2022, the 18th International Conference on Applied Statistics will be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Dr. Gregor Čehovin and Dr. Vasja Vehovar, members of the Centre for Social Informatics, will present the paper "Online survey panels in modern social science research: Can non-probability sampling replace probability sampling?"

New original research article in Social Science Computer Review
Researchers at the Centre for Social Informatics (Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, Dr. Darja Grošelj and Dr. Katja Prevodnik), in collaboration with Dr. Bianca C. Reisdorf (The University of North Carolina at Charlotte), have published an original scientific article "A typology of aging internet users: Exploring digital gradations in internet skills and uses" in the journal Social Science Computer Review.

Results of the evaluation of pilot projects in the field of long term care
In the period 2018-2020, the project Implementation of pilot projects that will support the transition to the implementation of the systemic long-term care act was carried out in Slovenia. Ministry of Health was also the contracting authority of the Evaluation of pilot projects in the field of long-term care. From January 2019 to December 2020, the latter was implemented by consortium partners: Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Institute for Economic Research, and Centre for Social Informatics of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana (CSI).

Last PRGA event and closing event of the ITHACA project
Between 5 and 7 July, the fourth and final Peer Review Assessment Event (PRGA) of the ITHACA (Interreg Europe) project took place in Mannheim, Germany, in a joint event with the project's closing meeting. The ITHACA project, which ran from 2017 to 2021, was extended last year for an additional year, with the project partners focusing on solutions, innovations and good practices in health and social care that have emerged or been stimulated by the Covid-19 epidemic.

First graduate of the new Social Informatics master's programme
On 23 June 2022, Andreja Praček successfully defended her master's thesis »Student Evaluation Surveys in a Global Context: Methodological Aspects of Conducting and Interpreting the Results«, becoming the first graduate of the new 2-year master's programme in Social Informatics, which was launched at the Faculty of Social Sciences in the academic year 2021/22.
