Vasja Vehovar, PhD, Mick P. Couper, PhD, and Gregor Čehovin, PhD have published a scientific paper in one of the most prestigious journals, Social Science Computer Review, on the format of questions in online surveys entitled "Alternative Layouts for Grid Questions in PC and Mobile Web Surveys: An Experimental Evaluation Using Response Quality Indicators and Survey Estimates".

Prof. Vasja Vehovar, Ph.D., Gregor Čehovin, Ph.D., and Andreja Praček of the Centre for Social Informatics gave presentations in the methodological section of the Slovene Sociological Association Meeting 2022, held at the Faculty of Social Sciences on November 4 and 5.

Jerneja Laznik presented a paper written by members of the Centre for Social Informatics in collaboration with Štěpán Žádník (University of Brno, Czech Republic), at the Annual scientific meeting of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA22), held from 2 to 6 November 2022 in Indianapolis, USA.

On October 27.–28., University of Ljubljana hosted the Sixth international doctoral conference, Ljubljana - Graz - Rijeka, in cooperation with the University of Graz and the University of Rijeka. This year' s conference, which focused on digitalization in science and society, allowed students from three universities to meet and share knowledge and experience.

Vasja Vehovar, PhD, a member of the Centre for Social Informatics, and Zdenek Smutný of the Prague University of Economics and Business published an article in the scientific Journal of Medical Internet Research. In the article, "On the Current Connection and Relation Between Health Informatics and Social Informatics", they distinguish the importance of social informatics and health informatics.

On October 1st 2022, we have launched the ARRS-CRP project titled Digital inequalities and older adults in Slovenia: An evaluation of the measures implemented under the Digital Inclusion Promotion Act (V5-2275). The project is funded by the Slovenian Research Agency and Government Office for Digital Transformation.

The basic project Digital transformation of health and social care: Welfare technology acceptance and knowledge among current and future healthcare and social care professionals was launched on October 1st 2022. It is led by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, Centre for Social Informatics (UL FSS CSI).

Dr. Katja Prevodnik, Dr. Marina Trkman, Jošt Bartol, and Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, researchers at the Centre for Social Informatics, have published an original research article titled “An Assessment of the Structural Validity and Measurement Invariance of the Web-Use Skills Scale for Aging Internet Users” in Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, a top-tier journal in the field of psychology and Internet studies.

The Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) hosted Prof. Donald B. Rubin as a guest speaker at the Applied Statistics 2022 conference.

Prof. Vasja Vehovar, PhD and Gregor Čehovin, PhD of Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) participated in the 18th International Conference on Applied Statistics, held at the Faculty of Social Sciences on September 19–21, 2022. At the conference, they presented the paper “Online survey panels in modern social science research: Can nonprobability sampling replace probability sampling?” The presentation included a summary of global meta-studies on nonprobability online panels and two case studies from Slovenia.
