In the article, the authors Vasja Vehovar, PhD and Gregor Čehovin, PhD, members of the Centre for Social Informatics, review evaluations of nonprobability online panels, illustrate typical problems encountered, and present guidelines for deciding whether to use them.

In their new scholarly paper, Iztok Šori, PhD (The Peace Institute) and Vasja Vehovar, PhD (Centre for Social Informatics) draw attention to the proliferation of hate speech that threatens the health of democracy and media systems in contemporary societies.

Kaja Smole Orehek, a member of Centre for Social Informatics, successfully completed doctoral programme in the Humanities and Social Sciences and the young researcher training financed by Slovenian Research Agency.

Štěpán Žádník visited the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) between February and August 2022 as a doctoral student at the Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic). During his stay at CSI, he worked on his dissertation thesis under guidance of Dr. Andraž Petrovčič.

Prof. Vesna Dolničar, PhD (Centre for Social Informatics) have jointly published a scientific article entitled Benefits of a Wearable Activity Tracker with Safety Features for Older Adults: An Intervention Study in the scientific journal International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

Assist. Prof. Simona Hvalič Touzery, PhD, Assist. Prof. Marina Trkman, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Vesna Dolničar, PhD (Centre for Social Informatics) have published a scientific article entitled Caregiving Situation as a Predictor of Subjective Caregiver Burden: Informal Caregivers of Older Adults during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the journal International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

Andreja Praček, a member of the Centre for Social Informatics, is one of the recipients of the Faculty's Award for the Best Academic Performance at the post-graduate level.

On December 1, 2022, an international meeting of the partners of the project D-CARE (Interreg Danube) was organised by the representatives of the Centre for Social Informatics: Lea Lebar (project head) and Mojca Šetinc, together with the external collaborator Janja Drole.
