Ana Slavec presented a paper at the 3MC 2016 international conference

Ana Slavec, PhD attended the Second International Conference on Survey Methods in Multinational, Multiregional and Multicultural Contexts (3MC 2016) that took place in Chicago from 25th to 29th of July 2016. She presented a paper titled Word frequency effect and response quality: A comparison of four questionnaire versions on a web panel.

Within the international SERISS (Synergies for Europe's Research Infrastructures in the Social Sciences) project, in which also the researchers of Centre for Social Informatics are involved, was published the first issue of e-newsletter.

Successfully concluded project Safer Internet Centre and the extension of the financing

In June 2016 the project Safer Internet Centre was successfully concluded. “Safer Internet Centre Slovenia is the national project promoting and ensuring a better internet for kids. This is a EU initiated and co-financed project, in Slovenia financial support also comes from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

AAPOR Poster Presentation: Introduction Breakoffs, Questionnaire Breakoffs and Web Questionnaire Length

Gregor Čehovin from the Centre for Social Informatics attended the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) 71st Annual Conference. At the conference’s first poster session, Gregor Čehovin presented the preliminary results of an ongoing metastudy of survey breakoffs titled “Introduction breakoffs, questionnaire breakoffs and web questionnaire length: a metastudy”.

Visit by Jon A. Krosnick and the »Survey mode effects« workshop

Between 18 and 20 May 2016, the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) is hosting Dr Jon A. Krosnicka, the leading survey methodologist from Stanford University (USA). Dr Krosnick will participate in Ana Slavec’s second doctoral seminar and the »Survey mode effects« workshop that will be held at the National Institute of Public Health.
