On 17 and 18 February 2016, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted Coral Strategic Days. Coral is a European network of regions collaborating in the field of Ambient Assisted Living and Active and Healthy Ageing.

On 16 and 17 February 2016, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted a meeting of the project group working on a project proposal within the Large Scale Pilot of the Research and Innovation Programme Horizon 2020.

We have prepared the list of top statistical events in 2016, that statistics should not miss.

In 2015, the CSI members published one monograph, two chapters in monographs and nine scientific articles in six different scientific journals. Below only the most important are listed.

CSI researchers Anže Sendelbah, prof. Vasja Vehovar, PhD, Ana Slavec, PhD and prof. Andraž Petrovčič, PhD published an article in the scientific journal Computers in Human Behavior.

Mojca Šetinc from the Centre for the Social Informatics will participate in the ISOLEARN (Innovation in Social Learning for Higher Education Institutions) European Seminar that will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) on 10-12th February 2016.

ISOLearn (Innovation in Social Learning for Higher Education Institutions) project partnership has published draft version of the European Report on hearing and visually-impaired students’ access to the higher education in four European countries: Slovenia, Portugal, Italy and Sweden.

Anže Sendelbah from the Centre for Social Informatics participated in the conference Addressing the role of media in interpersonal communication and social interaction – in different contexts and professions organised by the ECREA ICSI section with his contribution Media multitasking and the role of mediated interpersonal communication.

Katja Lozar Manfred, PhD from the Centre for Social Informatics participated in the Mixed-mode surveys conference with the contribution Comparing mobile phone, PC and paper-and-pencil survey experience: a lab experiment on mode effects.

From 19th to 23th October 2015 the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences, (Chair of Social Informatics and Methodology) hosted the lecturer Sabine Henning, Ph.D. from the University of Salzburg. Within the course New technologies in social science research the lecture and workshop on geoinformatics were conducted.
