Ana Slavec, PhD attended the Second International Conference on Survey Methods in Multinational, Multiregional and Multicultural Contexts (3MC 2016) that took place in Chicago from 25th to 29th of July 2016. She presented a paper titled Word frequency effect and response quality: A comparison of four questionnaire versions on a web panel.

Within the international SERISS (Synergies for Europe's Research Infrastructures in the Social Sciences) project, in which also the researchers of Centre for Social Informatics are involved, was published the first issue of e-newsletter.

Visit by Jon A. Krosnick and the »Survey mode effects« workshop
Between 18 and 20 May 2016, the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) is hosting Dr Jon A. Krosnicka, the leading survey methodologist from Stanford University (USA). Dr Krosnick will participate in Ana Slavec’s second doctoral seminar and the »Survey mode effects« workshop that will be held at the National Institute of Public Health.

We hosted Prof. Dr. Michael Bošnjak from Gesis
Between 9 March and 10 March 2016, the Centre for Social Informatics and the Chair of Social Informatics and Methodology hosted Prof. Dr. Michael Bošnjak from Gesis. He carried out two workshops on meta-analysis within the doctoral study of statistics.

Conclusion of the project “With speech against hate speech"
In February 2016 the project “With speech against hate speech: Commissioning of an independent connecting body” was successfully concluded. The project was launched in March 2014 and financed by EEA Grants in Norway Grants.

Launch of the Slovenian ECHAlliance Ecosystem
On 18 February 2016, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted the launch of the Slovenian ECHAlliance Ecosystem in cooperation with the European initiative ECHAlliance, the Coral network and the Centre for Social Informatics, represented by Dr. Vesna Dolničar.
