Jošt Bartol, Dr. Kelly Quinn, Dr. Vasja Vehovar, and Dr. Andraž Petrovčič published an original research article titled “Dimensions of vertical and horizontal information privacy concerns: a qualitative reassessment and revised definition” in Information, Communication & Society.

Dr. Andraž Petrovčič visited the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic) from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

Between March 4th and 5th 2025, the Centre for Social Informatics was visited by prof. dr. Michael Bosnjak. He held his main presentation on March 4th at 12.00 in lecture room 18, where he outlined the areas of his research: Research synthesis methods, Meta-Analysis, Survey research and Machine Learning-supported inference methods.

Gregor Čehovin, PhD, and Andreja Praček virtually attended the Probability-Based Household Internet Panel Research (CIPHER) Conference in Washington, D.C., on February 27–28, 2025.

During February 10th and 12th 2025, dr. Zdenek Smutny visited the Centre for Social Informatics, where he also presented his main research activities on February 10th.

In January, the Centre for Social Informatics has launched a new three-year research project Internet Privacy Management and Digital Inequalities among Older Internet Users, funded by the Slovenian research and innovation agency.

Dr. Vasja Vehovar and Dr. Gregor Čehovin in collaboration with Dr. Nejc Berzelak published an original scientific article in the journal Survey Research Methods titled Identifying a Set of Key Paradata Indicators in Web Surveys Based on the Relationship with Response Quality, Respondent Characteristics and Survey Estimates.

Dr. Vasja Vehovar and Dr. Dejan Jontes published an original scientific article titled "From Criticism to Anger and Hate: The Vulgarisation of Digital Anti-Press Criticism on News Outlets’ Facebook Pages" in the journal Digital Journalism.

Živa Šubelj attended the 25th AoIR Conference on Internet Research, held in Sheffield, United Kingdom, between October 30th and November 2nd, 2024.

Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, dr. Simona Hvalič-Touzery and Jerneja Laznik, in collaboration with dr. Anabel Quan-Haase, dr. Bianca C. Reisdorf and dr. Štěpán Žádník, have published an original scientific article titled »Categorical and resource inequalities in self-reliant internet use and use-by-proxy among older adults in Slovenia during the COVID-19 pandemic«. in the journal Technology in Society.
