Members of the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI), Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, have successfully completed research related to a ESS Electronic Questionnaire Device, in collaboration with NatCen, National Centre for Social Research, and European Social Survey Research Infrastructure Research Consortium (ESS ERIC).

CSI members have organized a panel at the ICA 2021 conference
The CSI research group organized a panel “The implications of social support and later life for the digital inclusion of older adults” at the Annual international conference of the International Communication Association (ICA) in which participants presented the results of quantitative and qualitative studies investigating the role of social support in digital inclusion of older adults.

Presentation of a systematic literature review at the ICA21 conference
Researchers from the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (Jošt Bartol, and doc. dr. Andraž Petrovčič), participated in the 71st conference of International Communication Association with an original presentation entitled “Measuring information privacy concerns on social network sites: a systematic review of survey instruments”.

Four national seminars were conducted as part of the project D-CARE
In May, as part of the project D-CARE (Interreg Danube), we organised four national seminars at the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) FSS UL, to which we invited stakeholders and representatives of the Slovenian project partners. Three events were held as part of the first work package (WP1) - which aims to design and pilot test innovative learning environments, and one event addressed the activities of the second work package (WP2), in which we will design a Smart Care Lab.

Presentation of research results at the CARE conference
Researchers from the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, participated at the CARE conference: challenges and solutions for a sustainable future in April. The event focused on the issues of sustainable care and provided a space for critical analyses, constructive discussion and further reflection on topics affecting the contexts of care in everyday life.

World Hypertension Day and Telemedicine
In the context of World Hypertension Day (17th May), we publish the key findings of an intervention and qualitative study among patients with chronic diseases (type 2 diabetes and/or hypertension), contributing to the awareness of the hypertension.

Natalija Rebrica will present the topic of her doctoral dissertation
Young researcher Natalija Rebrica, who has been a member of the Centre for Social Informatics since October 2019, will present the topic of her doctoral dissertation in the field of social informatics entitled "The Awareness Factors of Smart Technologies for Independent Living at Home among Individuals in an Aging Society".

Bartol, Vehovar and Petrovčič published an article in the journal Informatics
Jošt Bartol, Vasja Vehovar, PhD, and Andraž Petrovčič, PhD, members of the Centre for Social Informatics, published an article in the journal Informatics titled Should We Be Concerned about How Information Privacy Concerns Are Measured in Online Contexts? A Systematic Review of Survey Scale Development Studies. In the article, the authors present the results of a systematic review of survey scales for measuring information privacy concern.

10 years of the Centre for Social Informatics
On March 1, 2021, the Centre for Social Informatics celebrated its 10th anniversary of establishment. At its inception, it had 16 members; today, with 25 members, it is one of the largest centres at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences.
