Researchers at the Centre for Social Informatics have published an article in Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking

Dr. Katja Prevodnik, Dr. Marina Trkman, Jošt Bartol, and Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, researchers at the Centre for Social Informatics, have published an original research article titled “An Assessment of the Structural Validity and Measurement Invariance of the Web-Use Skills Scale for Aging Internet Users” in Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, a top-tier journal in the field of psychology and Internet studies.

Jošt Bartol, Dr. Katja Prevodnik, Dr. Vasja Vehovar, and Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, researchers at the Centre for Social Informatics, published an original research article titled “The roles of perceived privacy control, Internet privacy concerns and Internet skills in the direct and indirect Internet uses of older adults: Conceptual integration and empirical testing of a theoretical model” in New Media & Society, a top-tier journal in the field of communication and Internet studies.

New scientific publication on the informal carers’ perceptions of self-efficacy and subjective well-being when using telecare in the home environment

Assist. Prof. Simona Hvalič Touzery, PhD, Kaja Smole Orehek, and assoc. prof. Vesna Dolničar, PhD (Centre for Social Informatics) have jointly published a scientific article entitled “Informal Caregivers’ Perceptions of Self-Efficacy and Subjective Well-Being when Using Telecare in the Home Environment: A Qualitative Study” in the journal Geriatrics. The article is available in open access.

Reisdorf (The University of North Carolina at Charlotte), have published an original scientific article "A typology of aging internet users: Exploring digital gradations in internet skills and uses" in the journal Social Science Computer Review.

Members of CSI published an overview of the evolution of social informatics in the journal The Information Society

Dr. Vasja Vehovar, Dr. Zdenek Smutny, and Jošt Bartol published an article titled “Evolution of social informatics: Publications, research, and educational activities” in The Information Society journal. In the article, the authors present a comprehensive overview of scientific activities related to the (English) term social informatics.

New article on proxy internet use published in The Information Society

Researchers from the Centre for Social Informatics (Dr. Darja Grošelj, Dr. Andraž Petrovčič, Dr. Vesna Dolničar), in collaboration with Dr. Bianca C. Reisdorf (University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA), published a study in the journal The Information Society examining the changing factors that shape proxy internet use activation over time.

The article is available in open access from Wiley.

Dr. Matic Kavčič (Centre for Welfare Studies), dr. Andraž Petrovčič and dr. Vesna Dolničar (Centre for Social Informatics) published an article in the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, titled “Model of acceptance and use of market-ready home-based e-Care services: A quality study with care receivers and informal caregivers”.

The special issue of Acta Informatica Pragensia, the main editor is dr. Vasja Vehovar

Dr. Vasja Vehovar, head of the Centre for Social Informatics, was the main editor of the special issue of Acta Informatica Pragensia entitled "Perspectives of Social Informatics". Members of the editorial board also included Zdenek Smutny of Prague University of Economics and Business and Alice R. Robbin of Indiana University. Together, they also published an editorial article titled "What is Social Informatics from an International Perspective?".
