Members of CMI recepients of University of Ljubljana Prize

Assist. prof. dr. Marjan Cugmas and assist. Kristina Rakinić, members of the CMI, are recipients of the University of Ljubljana Prize. Assist. prof. dr. Marjan Cugmas received a ceremonial certificate for young university teachers and assist. Kristina Rakinić, as a doctoral student, received the award for special achievements of students.

Assist. prof. dr. Marjan Cugmas has been an important contributor to the field of statistics and data visualisation through his work at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, and has also been a guest lecturer at several foreign universities. As an active researcher, he has been involved in projects in the fields of network analysis, scientific knowledge and e-health, and has successfully shared his findings in the form of numerous scientific articles and monographs.

Assist. Kristina Rakinić received the award together with Karla Tepež (FDV) and Nesa Vrečar (FF) for the organisation of the first doctoral conference of the Humanities and Social Sciences doctoral programme. The explanatory memorandum states that the award is given by the University of Ljubljana for the organisation of the first doctoral conference of the Humanities and Social Sciences programme, which took place in January 2023 and contributed to the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge, experience, and enabled doctoral students to meet, socialise and support each other.
