The December article in Delo discussed the 40-year history of social informatics studies. In October 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted an event to commemorate this anniversary. The event was attended by numerous professors, colleagues, alumni, and current students. On this occasion, a publication titled Social Informatics: 40 Years of Teaching and Researching Digitalization in Society, Method Development, and Data Analysis was also released and is available at the following link: https://www.fdv.uni-lj.si/docs/default-source/cmi/40letdi.pdf?sfvrsn=0. The author of the article, Mojca Vizjak Pavšič, presents the development of the study program, the concept of social informatics, and highlights its role in today's world.

In January, Mladina published an article titled Artificial Intelligence Has Become an Inevitable Part of the Educational System, written by Gregor Kocijančič. The article summarizes the findings of a study on AI use among students, conducted at CMI. The head of the center, Prof. Dr. Gregor Petrič, also highlights some of the adjustments made by the Faculty of Social Sciences in response to the rapid rise of AI usage among students. He emphasizes the issue of passive information consumption and argues that "users should be more openly and collectively turning away from exploitative technologies and instead embracing technologies based on openness and the recognition of users as autonomous, active, and diverse individuals."
