A member of the Centre, Assistant Kristina Rakinić, appeared in the show Ah, ta leta. In the segment Ah, ta splet! , she spoke about empathy and social robots, as well as about ChatGPT’s seemingly empathetic responses. She first presented the development of robotics and the purpose of social robots, paying particular attention to their role in reducing feelings of loneliness among the elderly. She went on to explain why we may get the impression that conversational robots and artificial-intelligence tools are empathetic.
