Assoc. prof. dr. Matjaž Nahtigal was a speaker at the 31st Insurance Days in Slovenia that took place in Portorož on 5 and 6 June 2025. At the event, he spoke about the persistent global imbalances, geopolitical conflicts, and the erosion of international trade rules, and explained how these also pose uncertainties for economic entities, including financial institutions and the insurance industry.

Assist. prof. dr. Matjaž Nahtigal took part in the "Ura obrambe - ura mednarodnih odnosov" (eng. Hour of Defence - Hour of International Relations) podcast where he discussed current issues in international relations and international law with Srečko Zajc.

On 8 May 2025, prof. dr. Andreja Jaklič took part in a 24-hour global virtual event about sustainability in international business, organised by the Academy of International Business (AIB) Sustainability Shared Interest Group (SIG). Together with Mr. Hemant Kaul, CEO at Marangoni South Asia Private Limited, and Mr. Thomas Habeler, Consultant and Advisor, ex-President AsiaPacific Group voestalpine, she contributed to the session about the contribution of mature industries to circularity and sustainability.

Assist. dr. Iris Koleša participated in the European International Business Academy’s (i.e. EIBA’s) Board Meeting as the EIBA national representative for Slovenia. The meeting took place on 30 April 2025 in a hybrid form. At the gathering, EIBA Board members discussed the implementation of 2024 activities as well as made plans for 2025.

On 25 April 20205, prof. dr. Boštjan Udovič gave a speech at the High-Level Meeting "The New Global Geopolitics & The Western Balkans" organized by the Friends of Western Balkans (FoWB) and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. He highlighted the importance of EU recognizing that its prompt enlargement to Western Balkans is in its strategic interest as well as its active engagement in international negotiations.
