Stefano Guzzini Honoured with the Distinguished Scholar Award by the International Studies Association

Prof. dr. Stefano Guzzini, an associate member of the Centre of International Relations (FDV UL) was honoured at the March 2025 conference of the International Studies Association (ISA) in Chicago, USA.

Stefano Guzzini, a professor at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and a regular lecturer in the Master's program in International Relations at FDV UL, received the Distinguished Scholar Award, presented by the ISA Global International Relations Section. A special conference panel in honour of this prestigious occasion was chaired by Thomas Biersteker (Geneva Graduate Institute) and Nora Fisher-Onar (University of San Francisco).

The panelists, who highlighted Guzzini's research passion for theorizing with practical value, as well as his pedagogical accessibility and warmth, included: Maria Mälksoo (University of Copenhagen), Laura Sjoberg (University of Oxford), Peng Lu (East China University of Political Science and Law), Paulinho Chamon (State University of Paraíba), Filip Ejdus (University of Belgrade), and Marcin Grabowski (Jagiellonian University).
