How can the European Union become more resilient to disinformation?

Objavljeno: 7 Nov, 2025

The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana has launched a new European project, Adria Digital Media Observatory (ADMO 2.0), whose main objective is to strengthen the European Union's efforts to combat disinformation through research, fact-checking, and media literacy programs.

The project ensures the establishment and continued operation of the Croatian-Slovenian center for combating disinformation and close cooperation with the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) network. It is based on a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach that combines expertise from various fields: from the analysis of disinformation networks and narratives to research into the impact of digital platforms.

At the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana, the project is being carried out by Prof. Dr. Marko Milosavljević, project coordinator at the University of Ljubljana, and researcher Romana Biljak Gerjevič. Their work focuses on analyzing disinformation campaigns in Slovenia and monitoring the policies of very large online platforms (VLOPs) and their compliance with European Union documents.

In addition to the Faculty of Social Sciences, eight other project partners have joined the project coordinator at the University of Dubrovnik: the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb, Gong, RTL Croatia, Presscut d.o.o., Oštro, Agence France-Presse, and XWiki.
