Short content

The subject researches the formation of public policies in the U.S.A., where particular stress is put on the relationship between the President (administration) and the U.S. Congress. The subject develops a sequential model of the forming of public policies in the U.S.A., taking notice of the advantages as well as the drawbacks of such an approach. Students will get to know the most important public political processes in the legislation as well as the executive branch of power in the U.S.A. At the same time they will focus on the processes of policy formation, the content of public policies and finally the influence and effectiveness of the adopted policies. A comparison between the U.S.A. (the presidential system) and contemporary parliamentary systems will be made.
