Network analysis is the serious study of social structure, hence an essential aspect of virtually every substantive topic. This course will approach a variety of topics: core concepts, arguments, findings, ways of collecting and analyzing ego-centered data. The emphasis will be on methodological issues focusing on research design, measurement and analysis. Measured ego networks will be analyzed with statistical tools, discussed and presented in group projects.
