Short content

The course introduces the problems of working with people in organizations. Starting with the concept and development of personnel management and highlighting the strategic importance of human resources and shift to human resources management as a basis for finding a balance between the organizational goals and the satisfaction and engagement of employees. It forms, through various theories and models, a comprehensive picture of human resources management in relation to other aspects of management and in terms of its granularity. The course highlights in particular: work analysis and identification of workers characteristics, workforce planning, acquisition, selection and deployment of staff, personnel administration, performance management, work design and quality of working life, employee development and career, remuneration and salaries, and internationalization of human resources management. A lot of time will be devoted to independent student work and student group project work in cooperation with organizations in order to acquire and use different techniques
