Short content

We start the class with critical analysis of the process of long duration (protoglobalization; the rise of capitalism, the creation of nation states and "international" relations and cultural changes, colonialism and decolonialisation) which enable and accelerate the economic, cultural and political integration at a global level. At that we attache the analysis of contemporary globalization processes and the relocation of the epicentres of globalization. In the second part the class deals with changing the established importance of sociological concepts and the reconstruction of the theories of social change and the creation of new conceptual frameworks for interpretation of social change on a global level by introducing so far not sufficiently taken into account finding of sublateralnih and postcolonial studies.
