Conflict occurrence, types of conflicts and their numbers.
Study of conflicts, databases and data collections on conflicts. Significance of terminology.
Theoretical approaches to conflict research and research on conflict management.
Conceptual analysis of conflicts in the context of the structure of the international community: actors, factors, processes and norms.
Approaches to conflict management.
International institutions and conflict management at the global, regional, sub-regional, bilateral and national levels.
Post-conflict reconstruction.
Contentious issues, such as self-determination, lack of or access to resources, good governance and rule of law, structural changes.
Case study analysis of individual conflicts and conflict management, and a comparative study of those cases.
A study trip, subject to financial means.
