Short content
Defense economics deals with the use of economic approaches and methods in studying issues related to national defense. In this defense economics, like the economy in general examines four major economic problems: the efficient allocation of resources, the problem of public choice or redistribution, macroeconomic stability and economic growth. As the economy differentiate between microeconomics and macroeconomics, both ways of economic study are also important in defense economics. Thus, the study of economic efficiency in decision-making in the field of defense (systematic quantitative methods, economic analysis, prioritization) and the defense industry (benefits and costs of the defense industry, defense industry and the effectiveness of key processes in the field of defense industry in the last decade) are microeconomic issues.
