Short content
Development of armed forces, military technique and military organization through history. Implication of these factors in war from first combats to present time. Getting aquatinted with antique military history (Greek and Roman) with special emphasis on Roman military establishment. Study of feudal armies and mercenary military structures. Rise of Ottoman power meeting Cristian allied armies in period of Crusades. Analysis of mass armies in time of French revolution and reasons for successes of Napoleon armies. Military structures of Austro-Hungarian empire and its involvement in the Great War. Knowing the theatres of war in World War I. and World War II. Emphasis on occupations regimes and liberation movements on Slovene territories. Development of Cold War and confrontation of the two Blocks in different proxy wars. Establishment of the Territorial Defense in Yugoslavia and independence war in Slovenia 1991.
