Welcome Day for International Exchange Students
On Thursday, 28th October 2017, the Faculty of Social Sciences organised a Welcome Day for a new round of international students who came for their study exchange in the Autumn semester or the whole study year 2017/18. More than 140 students from 27 different countries will do their exchange in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, some of them will do their exchange based on bilateral agreements with universities also outside of the EU.
Students were welcomed by the Vice-dean for International Cooperation, prof. dr. Zlatko Šabič. The staff of the FDV Internationals Office, the Faculty Library and the University International Office gave all the necessary information about the study at the Faculty, and about the administrative matters that the students have to sort out. The students’ representatives (ŠOU-ESN and FDV tutors) introduced themselves and informed the students about the student life in Ljubljana, and all the activities they are offering to the international students. The students also learned about all the possible extracurricular activities that are offered by the University of Ljubljana.
The Welcome Day ended with a Faculty tour, and a small informal gathering in the lobby of the Faculty.
Everyone welcomed the students and wished them an unforgettable exchange experience and a lot of success with their studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
