The book Ukrainian Vignettes: Essays on Culture at War by Prof. Dr. Mitja Velikonja, published in 2025 by DoppelHouse Press in Los Angeles, has been named a finalist in the 2026 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
This is the author’s second nomination in this competition in four years. At that time, a book The Chosen Few: Aesthetics and Ideology in Footbal-Fan graffiti was also published by this Los Angeles-based publishe, made it to the finals.
