Sustainability in the management area of the FSS

As part of its holistic approach to sustainable development, the Sustainable FSS project integrates sustainable practices into the management aspect of its operations, where promoting cooperation with external stakeholders also plays an important role.

In the management area, the FSS is working towards more sustainable and energy-efficient management of its operations. It focuses on the circumstances that (in)indirectly affect the well-being, health and productivity of employees. The FSS, which is striving to realise the digital and green transition, is working on energy renovation of old parts of buildings and adaptations in the field of digitalisation, within its financial capacities. At the same time, it is also carrying out activities in the field of environmental protection and a greener and more sustainable faculty, such as reducing resource consumption, strengthening sustainable infrastructure, using renewable energy sources and promoting sustainable mobility.

In line with its vision of a socially responsible faculty that proactively educates, researches and works for an inclusive, sustainable and knowledge-based global society in the 21st century, the FSS also promotes cooperation with external stakeholders. Thus, since the end of 2022, the Faculty has further strengthened its activities that enhance the mutual transfer of knowledge between staff, students and external stakeholders, with particular emphasis on its involvement in a number of interdisciplinary projects that have strengthened existing partnerships and expanded its activities in the societal environment.
