New Scientific Paper: The Effects of Institutions on Emerging Market Firms’ International Assignment Location Decisions (Authors: Iris Koleša, Anže Burger and Michael Dickmann)
Assist. dr. Iris Koleša, assoc. prof. dr. Anže Burger (both from the Centre of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia) and prof. dr. Michael Dickmann from Cranfield School of Management in the UK published a paper entitled ‘The Effects of Institutions on Emerging Market Firms’ International Assignment Location Decisions’.
In it, the authors find that both institutional quality and distance influence expatriation flows in firms from a low quality institutional context. These expatriate more to markets with high quality institutions and higher institutional distance, whereby the latter refers to the differences between institutions in home and host countries.
The paper is freely available in the first 2022 issue of the Economic and Business Review journal. You can access it here >>
