Guest lectures of prof. dr. Michael Bosnjak from ZPID (University of Trier)
On April 25 and 26, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences (FDV) in cooperation with the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics hosted prof. dr. Michael Bosnjak, director of ZPID - Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information in Trier, Germany, and Full Professor at the University of Trier. Prof. Bosnjak’s research interests include: Research synthesis methods, consumer/business psychology, and survey methodology.
Prof. Bosnjak gave a series of lectures on meta-analysis, which took place within the subject New developments in statistics of the interdisciplinary doctoral program of Statistics (University of Ljubljana). The slides for the lectures are available on the web page http://www.meta-analysis.eu.
We also organized an open meeting, where prof. Bosnjak presented the ZPID institute to the researchers and doctoral students from FDV and other institutions. The aim of the event was to exchange research ideas and explore opportunities of collaboration with the ZPID institute in the areas of quantitative and qualitative research. In addition, we discussed the possibility of establishing a formal cooperation agreement between FDV and ZPID.
