Welcome Day for international students
On Thursday, 14th February 2019, the Faculty of Social Sciences organised a Welcome Day for a new round of international students who came for their study exchange in the Spring semester of the academic year 2018/19. More than 60 students from different countries will do their exchange in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, some of them will do their exchange based on bilateral agreements with universities also outside of the EU.
Students were welcomed by the Vice-dean for quality assurance, development and international cooperation, dr. Samo Kropivnik, Associate Professor. The staff of the FDV International Office, the Faculty Library and the University International Office gave all the necessary information about the study at the Faculty, and about all the administrative matters that the students have to sort out. The students’ representatives (ŠOU-ESN and FDV tutors) introduced themselves and informed the students about the student life in Ljubljana and all the activities they are offering to the international students.
The students also learned about all the possible extracurricular activities that are offered by the University of Ljubljana.
The Welcome Day ended with a tour of the Faculty and a small informal gathering in the lobby of the Faculty.
Everyone welcomed the students and wished them an unforgettable exchange experience and a lot of success with their studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
