The Chair of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences has hosted Professor Gianni Vaggi from the University of Pavia. From 5 to 6 December he delivered lectures within the course Contemporary Development Problems as a regular guest lecturer at the Postgraduate Programme of International Relations.

Faculty of Social Sciences organised an Information day for its students who want to go abroad in the study year 2017/18. Students have various possibilities for student exchange, they can go study through the Erasmus+ programme or through bilateral agreements that are signed with countries outside of Europe.

On Tuesday, November 15, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted Prof. Tomoo Marukawa, a professor of Chinese economy from the Institute of Social Science, University of Tokyo. He delivered a lecture titled The Future of China's Economic Growth and Its Impact on the Global Economy.

Last week the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted Dr. Timothy Petete. Dr. Petete delivered the lectures "Welcome to the Indian Country: Early, Modern, and Contemporary Indigenous Realities (overview of the impact of American social, political, and cultural institutions on the shaping of Native American realities)" and "Native Appropriations: Representations of Indigenous People in Popular Culture (overview of appropriations of Native cultures and the ways in which Native writers and artists are changing perceptions of indigenous people via popular culture)".
