As part of its holistic approach to sustainable development, the Sustainable FSS project integrates sustainable practices into the management aspect of its operations, where promoting cooperation with external stakeholders also plays an important role.

A review of scientific publications between 2020 and 2022 shows that a good two-thirds of scientific publications by FSS researches include at least indirectly sustainable development topics. 17% of publications address sustainability topics in more detail.

The integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the curricula has led to a growing interest among FSS students in topics related to sustainable development.

The Faculty of Social Sciences, as part of the University of Ljubljana, is an important contributor to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including in particular in the field of teaching, where students learn about sustainable development in greater depth at each successive level.

As the largest and most interdisciplinary social sciences faculty in the country, its mission includes all three key aspects of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental.
