Guest lecture Communication, Media & Society: Sociology of Media Perspectives

On Wednesday, 15 November, Dr Paško Bilić from the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in Zagreb will be a guest lecturer at the course Contemporary Issues in Journalism, which is being taught at the Master's programme in Journalism. The guest lecture, entitled Communication, Media & Society: Sociology of Media Perspectives, will start at 12.00 and will be held in the FDV-18 lecture hall.  

In his lecture, dr. Bilić will provide a theoretical analysis and systematization of the diverse connections between sociological and media theory. He will explore how different theories conceptualize the role of communication and media in creating knowledge about society and what types of social relationships can be identified in these theories at the micro, meso, and macro levels of social reality." 

Dr. Paško Bilić is a Research Associate in the Department for Culture and Communication, Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in Zagreb.
